Allegiance

The socio-political landscape in contemporary times has met with unprecedented change resulting in exclusion and ignorance of different social groups.  Collectivization as the exponential factor to change social and political relationships tends to involve more people in local and inter-community associations. HoPE as a house of empowerment is an innovative beginning to voice, empower, and provide agency to these groups to act with a developed sense of autonomy. This will enhance their skills, knowledge, perception at an individual level, but at collective level, a sense of identity and social belongingness is imagined and aspired.

Furthermore, the conviction is to impact the life worlds of humans and communities in the Real and the Virtual domain, in an integrative manner. In reality, we have resolved to reach to the grassroots to understand, identify, plan and solve the target oriented challenges. Virtually, we are going to use the Information technology and social media to further create a network of human relationships for a better and cohesive to-and-fro dissemination of issue specific knowledge and participation.

Aspiration

HoPE begins as a multifarious organization with the strategic aim to conduct research, plan, and execute constructive ideas at grassroots as well as community level. From developing an action plan to connect with people through virtual and physical mode to socio-political footing, from research, planning, innovation, and development to reformation and empowerment, HoPE bridges the gap between people and policy. For any nuanced view of the problems and challenges, a well formulated planning/approach developed by blending knowledge and people is indispensable/essential. The action plan of HoPE is foundationally anchored on connecting people through ICT (Information, Communication and Technology), participation, awareness, training, opinion making and empowerment.

HoPE acts as a facilitator to ensure that we work together from the nadir to zenith, in other words, starting from research to the execution of the programme. In this journey, HoPE leaves no stone unturned to understand the issues, identify the problems, create a concept followed by developing its content and events equipped by planning and campaigns (including performances and arts), till the implementation along with ensuring a positive outcome. Effectively, HoPE becomes your knowledge partner and connects the societies with you and you with societies for better public opinion and responsiveness. It believes in the essence of the Constitution and works together to support in democratic modes of resistance and legal battles as well. HoPE creates narratives and ensures that this is harnessed to craft a participatory and responsive societies and government. The need for rural development is a reality. HoPE is determined to take initiatives to cultivate grassroots democracy through participation, accountability and sustained training.

Approach

HoPE firmly believes in building an organic relationship with the society and the people. The understanding of social fabric defines our orientation, expertise and response to the challenges. The motive is to strengthen the social partnership among different stakeholders in the society. This social partnership would pave the way for a better communication and dialogue between the government and the civil society; between the haves and have-nots. HoPE is here to act as a conveyor belt to bridge such distances and gaps.

Keeping the cardinal principles in mind as stated above, HoPE is a voice for the forward looking societies that ensure equity among the stakeholders. HoPE recognizes the harmonizing relationship between the rights and the obligations. While conceptualizing the goals and ideas, HoPE realizes that the action-programme is going to face hurdles and dilemmas that the reality offers us as challenges. Identifying those challenges is prerequisite and then only it can be resolved. Our goal is not limited to change, but to transform and aim for emancipation.

It is insurmountable hope that steered us through unprecedented times and the newly constituted HoPE is yet another zeal dedicated to the people to constructively transform their societies in a holistic manner by taking political, economic, social, and cultural processes into consideration.
