Event 1 : Pratinidhitwa with Gram Pradhan and other Elected Panchayat Representatives

The first chapter of the Grassroots Leadership Development program was convened by the founders of HOPE, Digvijay Singh, and Anant Prakash. In this workshop, the Gram Pradhan, Anita Devi shared her experience as a representative of her village. The Gram Pradhan, Anita Devi talked about the work being done by her in the village along with highlighting the challenges being faced by the villagers and suggested the way to redress the lacunae.

Anita Devi and her team talked about the successful implementation of ration distribution and MGNREGA work allocation during the Covid-19 Pandemic when a large number of people returned to their native villages. She also arranged food, and water and ensured the successful implementation of various schemes of the central and state government.

Along with this, Anita Devi and her team also highlighted the challenges in the arena of roads, drainage, health facilities, playground for budding talents and need for proper care of stray animals. Ms. Devi asked for colleges at the village level and hospital so that the education and health system can be revamped for better services in and around her village.
